If given the same measurements and same terrain, how do the costs of split rail and privacy fence compare?

I'm talking about 6 ft cedar pickets with 3 rail backing vs. the 3 rail split rail (4-5 ft high/whatever is standard). There will need to be two gates. I'm not needing accurate price points but comparative ratios.
