How can I free up hard drive disk space?

I was burning a non copyrighted dvd and then copying to a blank dvd-r disc. However after burning the 3rd disc, it did not give me the option for copying to a blank one. However my hard drive disk space was less. How do I find the file that is depleting my hard drive?
