Ex boyfriend messing me about?

I text my ex boyfriend to see what he was up to last night he text back and led the conversation onto saying he wanted to have with me, he kept asking but i didnt say yes because i wouldn't but he started saying if you do perhaps we could have a relationship, i like you and want to shag you at the same time and another one saying i do like you its just you put me off sometimes waking me up and annoying me. This morning i text saying u still want to sleep with me? and he replied saying maybe after a few pints.. i wouldnt if i was sober. I doubt he was drunk last night he was only at home so why was he telling me stuff like i like you? and why has he suddenly changed his tune over night?
